The Western North Carolina AIDS Project (WNCAP) is gearing up for their 2010 "Raise Your Hand" auction set for September 25th at the DoubleTree Biltmore. This is a wonderful event that each year raises money for HIV related services to the people of WNC through client support, preventative education, and outreach activities.
Each year WNCAP holds a "Signature Piece" competition where they select one very special work of art to be prominently displayed for all ad material, posters, an the program cover. Harry Brown, Fundraising Chair, has kindly asked me to be a juror, and i am so honored to be a part of this. I donated to last year's auction, and have also been the photographer for many of their events over the past year. WNCAP is a wonderful organization, and i look forward to my continued work with them.
So, if you are an artist, please make sure to donate a work or two to the auction! If you're interested in the Signature Piece Competition, the deadline to apply is Thursday, July 15. I am looking forward to reviewing all the art!
